Warning

When somebody on the Halls says or does something that violates Halls Law, a moderator may, at their discretion, issue them a warning. A warning may be a verbal one, or it may be an official warning, issued through the board software, and raising the poster's overall warning level. The warning level can be raised a total of five times, and each time carries with it a certain punishment, ranging from a mild one-day suspension to the possibility of permanent banning.

The warning system is as follows:

  • 1st Warning - Posting Ability Suspended for One Day
  • 2nd Warning - Posting Ability Suspended for One Day
  • 3rd Warning - Posting Ability Suspended for One Week - Probation Status
  • 4th Warning - Posting Ability Suspended for One Week - Probation/Possible Posting Confinement Afterward
  • 5th Warning - Posting Ability Suspended Indefinitely pending Permanent Banning

When a moderator warns a member, they will PM them with a reason why. Warnings are, however, not subject to appeals. After a period of six months of good behavior, a warning level may be lowered at the discretion of the Guardians and the Tyrant. This lowering is usually a one-time occurrence, and it is important to note that "good behavior" refers to active time, not merely being absent.
